Why are some graduate jobs going unfilled?

More companies planning to recruit school-leaversGraduates are missing out on jobs because of poor applications, according to a new survey.

The Association of Graduate Recruiters says that around two thirds of the employers it surveyed have job opportunities with nobody to fill them. Half of the employers said that this is partly because people’s applications don't show off their abilities properly. For example, many applicants don't tailor their application for different jobs, but send out a generic application that doesn't demonstrate their interest in the role.
